WWE LAUNCHES THEIR OWN NETWORK 2.33/5 (46.67%) 3 votes


Wednesday January 9, 2014, marked a new venue for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) with the long-awaited announcement at the Computer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV, of the WWE Network being launched after Monday Night RAW at 11:05 PM on Monday, February 24, 2013, which is the first RAW after the Elimination Chamber Pay Per View.

WWEChampionshipBelts Long time wrestling fans (such as yours truly) are pumped for this because WWE will show classic matches over the last 50 years such as Hulk Hogan v. Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III, Rock v. Hogan at  WrestleMania 18, Hogan’s heel turn at World Championship Wrestling’s 1996 Pay Per View called Bash at the Beach which led to the formation of the New World Order (nWo) with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, and other classic matches not only from WWE but also from World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), American Wrestling Alliance (AWA), and even from the National Wrestling Alliance (AWA). WWE Network will also broadcast a Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown post-game show as well as a “Legend’s House”, a reality show featuring WWE Legends and Hall of Famers.

WWE Network will be available on desktops and laptops via WWE.com. WWE Network will also be available through the WWE App on: Amazon’s Kindle Fire devices; Android, ions, Roku streaming devices, PlayStation 3 & 4 and Xbox 360. Availability on additional devices, including Xbox One and select Smart TVs, will follow in the summer of 2014. Vince McMahon, Chief Executive Officer of WWE, has stated that all 12 WWE Pay-Per-Views will be featured on the network for no additional charge, starting with WrestleMania XXX.
